Hello, January!
After last week’s events, I decided to give myself a little extra time to reset for the new year. As in, not letting myself get down after I didn’t stay on track with a few of my resolutions last week. Taking time to fully absorb what is going on in this country and what I can do to help.
I usually find New Years Resolutions too personal to share, but a few of mine this year are:
running, a few times a week
more video content!
being more mindful with how much $ I spend and how I’m spending it (i.e. supporting more POC owned businesses, thrifting, collaborating with sustainable companies)
Resolutions look different for everyone, and most of mine are much more specific than this but felt like it was important to note that I haven’t been accomplishing things left and right since the new year started- I felt sluggish all of last week, and didn’t even shoot any new content until Friday. If you needed to slow down before you speed up this year, that is totally normal.
Another resolution of mine is to stay more up to date with posting on here- if there’s anything specific you want to see, please DM me :) my inbox is always open.
Linking a few things I’m purchasing to get my year started below:
A cool candle: I love this little guy. I bought this for a funky vintage dish I have that I previously used for jewelry storage.
Cute running shoes : If I’m going to work out as much as I hope to, I might as well look good doing it. I was wearing some old black nike’s for quite awhile but upgraded to these.
New desk: So I’ve been using the same white IKEA desk since 10th grade, possibly before then. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but it’s time for an upgrade. I chose this one because it’s simple, not wildly expensive, and doesn’t have enough counter space for me to fill it with clutter.
Cozy joggers: It doesn’t feel like this work from home situation is fading anytime soon, so I’ve been on the hunt for cute loungewear. These joggers are comfortable and figure flattering.
Hand Cream: I bought this for my grandmother for Christmas, and she told me I have to tell everyone about it because it is that amazing. I just bought one for myself & can’t wait to try.
